Do we need an engagement session?
In short, an engagement session is not a necessity BUT there are so many reasons as to why they are such a great add-on to your wedding package!
First things first; I completely understand that the thought of being ‘lovey-dovey’ in front of the camera is off-putting, but what if I told you that LIFESTYLE engagement sessions are so far from that! Need some convincing? I’m just the girl to rave about why engagements sessions are the best (cue list…)
A chance to relax in front of the camera
I’m presuming you’re not too familiar with being in front of the camera of a professional photographer. Trust me it’s easy!
A lifestyle approach means no stiff poses or forced smiles. Instead, I prompt you both and encourage you to interact with one another rather than stare down into the lens. This is exactly the same approach I use for your wedding portraits. So by the time your day comes round, you’ll know what to expect and can relax into it

What a great opportunity it is to get some beautiful photos of you both.
Not only to frame for your home and share with friends + family but to also use on save the dates | invitations | personalised wedding websites | table plans | guest books, etc. The list is endless.

You can have your session absolutely anywhere!
Want to include your pets? Have a favourite place, you both love? Want the session at home? Honestly, you can make an engagement session completely your own. The pre-session questionnaire is a great place to include any ideas or must-have shots.
Equally, if you prefer to be completely guided then that’s absolutely fine too. I know some beautiful locations and I prompt throughout a session anyhow to capture those candid + in-between moments.
